The nLogic team is seeking a Radar Electromagnetic Warfare Analyst to join our team in the Huntsville, AL area.
The Radar Electromagnetic Warfare Analyst will support engineering studies, modeling, and analysis focused on electromagnetic warfare (EW) applications for missile defense systems. You’ll develop and use MATLAB-based tools and simulations to model radar signals and EW interactions at the in-phase and quadrature (I/Q) level, including time-domain representations. This role operates in a classified, on-site environment and offers the opportunity to build expertise in radar systems, electronic attack/protection techniques (EA/EP), and RF propagation modeling.
Responsibilities:
Support and conduct technical studies related to electromagnetic warfare and radar electromagnetic protection for missile defense systems.
Develop, implement, and utilize MATLAB-based simulations to model radar signal behavior and EW effects (EA/EP).
Implement and analyze radar time-domain signal models using I/Q representations.
Evaluate RF propagation effects and their impact on radar and EW performance.
Support analysis of electromagnetic threats and system vulnerabilities.
Perform data analysis, verification and validation of simulation outputs.
Generate technical reports, briefings, and documentation summarizing study results and modeling outcomes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to improve simulation models and support system-level electromagnetic survivability assessments.
Contribute to the improvement and extension of simulation tools used to evaluate radar and EW system performance
Required Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or another engineering discipline
0–10 years of relevant experience (internships or research experience acceptable for junior candidates).
Ability to program in MATLAB.
Basic understanding of radar systems and radar signal processing fundamentals.
Familiarity with RF concepts and signal propagation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a classified, on-site environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with I/Q signal representations or time-domain signal modeling.
Exposure to electronic warfare concepts, including electronic attack (EA) and electronic protection (EP).
Experience developing or modifying engineering simulations using MATLAB.
Familiarity with Simulink, Python, or C/C++ for analysis and modeling.
Background in radar system design, radar signal processing, or EW vulnerability analysis.
Familiarity with RF link analysis, radar equation analysis, or signal propagation modeling.
Experience supporting missile defense or other defense system programs.
Strong technical writing and briefing skills
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Huntsville; AL. Current SECRET clearance is required for consideration.
