nLogic is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our team in Huntsville, AL.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Contracts Administrator with experience in DoD contracting to manage the lifecycle of prime and subcontract agreements. You will partner with Program Management, Finance, Capture/BD, and Supply Chain to ensure compliant, timely, and accurate contract formation, execution, and closeout. The ideal candidate understands FAR/DFARS, government procurement methods, and defense-specific requirements (e.g., cybersecurity, export controls, flowdowns), and can navigate negotiations to balance risk, compliance, and business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Contract Formation & Review
Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs, TAs, prime contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and modifications.
Structure and review agreements across FFP, T&M/LH, CPFF, CPIF, IDIQ/Task Orders, and OTAs as applicable.
Ensure incorporation and compliance with FAR/DFARS clauses, statutory/regulatory flowdowns, and company policies.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure adherence to FAR, DFARS, DoD supplement, and agency-specific regs (e.g., DCMA, DCAA impacts).
Support CMMC and NIST SP 800‑171 requirements tied to DFARS 252.204‑7012/7020/7021.
Manage export controls (ITAR/EAR), jurisdiction/classification, technical data restrictions, and license coordination with Trade Compliance.
Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks: data rights/IP, OCI, limitation of funds/cost, TAA/Berry Amendment, mandatory flowdowns, and insurance/indemnity.
Collaborate with Capture/BD on RFP/RFQ analysis, assumptions/exceptions, and risk registers.
Support basis-of-estimate, cost/price narratives, and certified cost or pricing data when applicable (FAR Part 15/TINA).
Prepare negotiation strategies and lead or support negotiations with Government and prime/subcontractors.
Supplier/Subcontract Management
Draft and administer compliant subcontracts with proper FAR/DFARS flowdowns, small business subcontracting plans, and DPAS/priority ratings as applicable.
Coordinate with SCM on competitive sourcing, source justifications, and commercial item determinations.
Governance & Process Improvement
Maintain CLM/system data integrity (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Unison/Prism).
Support CPSR readiness and audit responses; contribute to SOPs, templates, playbooks, and training.
Provide contract terms interpretation and advisory support to program teams.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Contracts, Legal Studies, Supply Chain, or related field; or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of hands-on DoD/USG contracts administration experience (prime and/or subs).
Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, FAR Part 12/15, contract types, and standard DoD procurement methods (IDIQ/TO/POPs).
Experience with export controls (ITAR/EAR) and defense data rights/IP considerations.
Familiarity with DFARS cybersecurity clauses (e.g., 252.204‑7012/7020/7021) and NIST SP 800‑171 implications.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication; adept at stakeholder engagement and negotiation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting CPSR environments and government audits (DCMA/DCAA).
Knowledge of small business subcontracting plans and reporting; experience with SBIR/STTR a plus.
Hands-on with CLM and ERP tools (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Unison/Prism, Salesforce).
NCMA certification (CFCM, CPCM) or DAWIA-equivalent training.
Experience with OTA agreements, data rights negotiations, and IP strategy in a defense context.
Prior work with WAWF/iRAPT, SAM.gov, eSRS, and FSRS reporting.
