The DTechLogic Team is seeking a Linux System Administrator at The Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Advanced Research Center (ARC). This position requires an understanding and proficiency in Linux and ability to work in a dynamic team. The successful candidate will support the System Administration Team in the evaluation, configuration, and installation of Linux systems in a testing environment. Other duties include managing system upgrades and tracking tasks for building out systems.
About the ARC: The Advanced Research Center (ARC) is a Missile Defense Agency (MDA) facility located in Cummings Research Park in Huntsville, AL. The ARC is a Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) facility designed and operated to support Missile Defense System (MDS), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL), Ground Test (GT), and Flight Test (FT) activities.
About DTechLogic: DTechLogic is the prime contractor supporting the ARC, which is a joint venture between Davidson Technologies and nLogic that was started in 2018. The DTechLogic ARC Team consists of five contractor teammates in Huntsville, AL. Standard ARC operation hours are 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, with some exceptions outside of this window to support test events that require night shift work for some positions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support simulated ground test infrastructure and reconfiguration
Troubleshoot, resolve, and document System Errors and Resolutions
Installation or rebuilding of existing servers
Applying DISA STIGs
Installing OS and application patches
Troubleshooting OS and resolving hardware/software problems
Required Qualifications:
Experience in Linux System Administration
Experience installing, rebuilding, and configuring Linux Systems
Willing to learn new things and share existing knowledge with others (modernization/automation)
Adaptable to changing requirements
Exceptional troubleshooting skills
Works well with others
BS or higher in related field or equivalent work experience
4-8 years related work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) Environment
Experience in backup software, storage systems (NetApp), and virtualization (VMware/Nutanix)
Experience in test and/or MDS
Familiarity with multiple of the following: Windows Domains, RSA, IDM, Splunk, ACAS, Ansible/Scripting, DNS
Experience working in secured spaces
Certifications:
Security+ (or other DoD Approved 8750 Level II Certification)
Attain Linux+ certification within first three months of employment
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. This is a full-time position located in Huntsville, AL. Current SECRET clearance is required for consideration.
