nLogic is seeking a Tactical SATCOM Systems Integration Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA.
You will join a Systems Engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting Protected Tactical SATCOM -Global. You will support Systems Engineering & Integration activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. The Systems Engineer will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the USSF. The Systems Engineer will lead and support several working groups responsible for leading technical discussion, resolve and identify risk, requirement gaps, developing briefings, writing, and tracking action items, and authoring meeting minutes.
The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Space Force’s Space Systems Command. We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. Responsibilities:
Develop requirements verification documents and test plans, test objectives, test methodology, and evaluation criteria
Provide support to develop/update the System Engineering documentation including Systems Integration and Test Plan (SITP), the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP), and the Systems Verification Plan (SVP)
Develops operational concepts, requirements, and architectural designs; evolves system architectures, conducts and analyzes requirements flow down, proposes verification methodologies and mitigation approaches
Support implementation of common Test and Evaluation database for the program; integrate Digital Engineering and Environment processes
Support audits, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Deficiency Review Boards (DRBs), Materiel Improvement Process Review Boards (MIPRBs), and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
Review and assess Integration-related deliverables; work closely with multiple Integrated Product Teams to refine test and integration implementation of strategies
Develop and present packages to communicate recommendations, assessment, and strategies to customers at different levels; conduct IPT meetings/reviews and collaborate with integration and test teams
Develop and document risks and mitigation plans for systems engineering, and integration; use Digital Engineering and Environment tools (i.e. Jira, Confluence, etc.) for different efforts
Provides Systems Engineering expertise across the entire lifecycle from concept development to operations (for Space, associated Ground systems and, or the Ground Systems/Command & Control services that operate those capabilities)
Provides technical oversight of development efforts
Required Qualifications:
An active DoD SECRET Security Clearance is required for this position
BS in technical field, such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science. An equivalent technical degree (such as MS in technical field, such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science)
10+ years demonstrated experience in systems engineering
10+ years with system specification, verification, or analysis
Experience with space systems and/or military satellite communication systems
Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
MS in technical field, such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science
Experience with MILSATCOM, such as AEHF, EPS, WGS, and Protected Tactical Systems, or COMSATCOM
Experience working with military or DoD civilian clients
Experience with space and ground systems, such as satellite communication, ground terminals and DoD networks
Certifications in Systems Engineering (INCOSE ESEP, CSEP)
Certifications in MBSE (OCSMP)
Certifications in Agile Development
Knowledge and experience in Jira and Confluence

Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. Current SECRET security clearance is required for consideration. This is a full-time position on-site in El Segundo, CA. The estimated salary for this position ranges from approximately $160,000 to $185,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
